Why am I creating a blog in 2026?

Posted on Jul 8, 2026

Just as the Neolithic period is to history, blogs are to the history of the internet. With the rise of social media, search algorithms have begun to prioritize recommending them over traditional blogs, with immense algorithms specifically designed to keep you within these networks for as long as possible, thus profiting from AdSense and directly influencing your emotions in a Spinozist sense. What I’m aiming for here by creating this blog is the opposite movement, inspired by Mark Fisher’s K-punk. I intend to write about everything that affects me, not depending on a recommendation algorithm and distancing myself from social networks like Twitter, Substack, Instagram, etc.

Because of all this, using the HuGo framework and a ready-made theme customized by me, I created this blog. My goal is to go against the grain of the direction the internet is taking, studying ways to escape sloppification/enshittification. Writing about philosophy of science, psychology, economics, politics (not regularly to avoid burnout) and, without a doubt, about technology/programming.
